New leadership of Volt Europa dares governments to initiate treaty changes.

Bratislava, 18 June 2026 - Members and country leaders of Volt Europa adopted the "Bratislava Declaration" to conclude its General Assembly. Inês Bravo Figueiredo and Sven Franck were elected as new Volt Europa co-presidents. They announce a European political platform and demand heads of government to reform EU treaties.

Open letter: Call for cooperation between all democratic parties!

October 2024 - Last Sunday marked a turning point in Austria: the far-right party FPÖ received the most votes. The rise of the far-right is due to emotional manipulation, fear and the offering of simple bogus solutions to complex problems. In view of the direct threat to our democracy, we are calling on all democratic parties in an open letter to work together and form a stable government without the FPÖ.

Why the FPÖ shouldn't be in government

October 2024 - The national elections in Austria have undoubtedly delivered a clear message: The far-right Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) has emerged as the strongest force. However, although it has won a considerable number of votes, the question remains as to whether the other political forces in the country should pave the way for the FPÖ to take on government responsibility. The answer to this must be a decisive “no”.

Volt Austria presents its new executive board

September 2024 - Volt Austria elected a new Federal Executive Board back in July, which is now officially in office after a handover period. Rico Winter was confirmed as Co-President for the 2nd term of office, the new Co-President is Karoline Adam. As there were candidates for all positions, the Federal Executive Board is finally complete again.

...but as much as we would like to run in the National elections in order to introduce strong European policies at national level, after a draining European election campaign we unfortunately lack the resources at the moment to run an election campaign worthy of Volt.

Volt against the "Patriots for Europe" group: A strong Europe for a strong future

The "Patriots for Europe" group was recently founded in the European Parliament. The main person responsible is also the European troublemaker on duty: Victor Orban. The plan of this nationalist group is simply to dissolve the EU as we know it. Among other things, this means dismantling the rule of law, corruption and restricting free media. Volt opposes this.
