What types of membership are available at Volt Austria?
Active members
Full voting rights - local, regional, national and European.
Voting rights for both Volt Austria and Volt Europe - active (can vote) and passive (can run for office and be elected).
Membership fee 90 € (35 € reduced). See below for details.
Recommended for those who want to participate intensively in Volt and who also have a little time for party work and events.
Volunteers
Support Volt, but are not party members.
No active or passive voting rights at Volt.
No membership fee.
For those who like to support our activities and actively help, but do not (yet) want to become party members.
How much does active membership cost?
The regular membership fee is €90 per year. For pupils, students, pensioners, the unemployed or people with no income, the fee is €35 per year.
How does the application process for active members and volunteers work?
If you click on the "Join Volt" button at the bottom of this page, you will be redirected to our membership application website. Enter your e-mail address here, select your membership type and fill out the questionnaire. Then (please give us a few days) you will be contacted by a Volt member for a short introductory chat - your chance to ask questions about Volt, and an opportunity for us to find out which teams in our network might be of interest to you. You will then be given access to our online workspace, a Volt email address and can get started right away. The Volter who introduced you will of course also help you find your way around at the beginning.
Are there any obligations and how much time do I have to commit?
We are all volunteers - so there is no need to put in a fixed number of hours unless you are applying for an official position at national or European level. In general, we are happy if you can find your interests within Volt and if you can get involved with us in your own way.
