🇪🇺 40 Jahre Schengen – and we say: March for Open Borders! ✊

In 1985, Schengen was a courageous promise:

Freedom instead of customs & traffic jam. Trust instead of control. A Europe without borders inside.

But today?

🔒 Permanent border controls between 🇩🇪 & 🇦🇹
🚧 More isolation instead of more unity
😔 An attack on the soul of Europe

We say: It's enough ❗️

Volt fights for a Europe that unites – not separates.

That's why we take to the streets:

❌ End of border controls on the German-Austrian border
🛡️ Protecting Schengen – don't undermine it further
🌐 Real security at the EU's external borders – not in the middle of Europe
🛤️ Creating legal escape routes instead of letting people die
🕊️ Freedom of movement & human dignity for all

Because Schengen is more than an agreement.

It is the basis for a Europe that breathes.

That's alive. That unites.
